- Travel medical insurance bought at the time of booking. Medicare does not cover you in Spain, so this is not optional at our age; confirm it covers pre-existing conditions and carry the policy number somewhere reachable without a phone.
- Timed tickets for the Sagrada Familia booked the moment your dates are fixed. In the centenary year they sell out days ahead, and the over-65 rate of sixteen euros against a thirty-one euro general admission is worth claiming.
- The hotel's all-in nightly total confirmed, including the tourist tax, which doubled on 1 April 2026 to twelve euros per person per night at five-star properties and nine euros fifty at tourist apartments, capped at seven consecutive nights.
